On 11 July 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Solomon Islands donated office equipment to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade(MFAET) of Solomon Islands. Chinese Ambassador H.E. Cai Weiming and MFAET Permanent Secretary H.E. Colin Beck, Deputy Secretary Mr. Hickson George attended the event. 

H.E. Cai Weiming presented the equipment and said that since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Solomon Islands more than five years ago, with the support of MFAET, bilateral relations have developed rapidly and fruitful cooperation in various fields has been achieved. China is willing to continue to strengthen coordination with the MFAET, to implement the outcomes of the Third China-Pacific Foreign Ministers' Meeting, and jointly build an even closer China-Solomon Islands community with a shared future.

PS Beck thanked China for the support and said that MFAET will continue to firmly uphold justice and international law and work with China to deepen bilateral friendship and cooperation to better benefit the two peoples.
