On June 15, 2026, Ambassador H.E Cai Weiming addressed the safety management meeting for Chinese enterprises operating in Solomon Islands.

Ambassador Cai stressed that safety management must be implemented earnestly and managed meticulously. All Chinese enterprises operating in Solomon Islands shall attach great importance to safety management, conduct a thorough inspection of risks, and firmly safeguard the safety bottom line. He also urged Chinese enterprises to operate in compliance with the law, care for local and Chinese employees and actively fulfill social responsibilities, and help advance the steady and sound development of China-Solomon Islands relations.

Representatives of Chinese enterprises in SI stated that they will consolidate safety responsibilities, operate lawfully and compliantly, pursue sustained and healthy corporate development, so as to contribute to the China-Solomon Islands cooperation.
